The ASMR Streamer Awards
The ASMR Streamer Awards were created by ASMR Twitch streamer SquishShe in 2023 to highlight and showcase classic, traditional ASMR streamers on Twitch, while raising money for charity, so that more people can find and enjoy these channels that have become a minority in the category. Two nominees for each category are viewer nominated and the 3rd by a committee, with some review to ensure they meet the category and content guidelines. Winners are 100% determined by community voting.
SquishShe
SquishShe started watching ASMR on Twitch in early 2021. As the Twitch 'meta' changed to ear licking, she had difficulty finding channels to watch due to her misophonia for licking sounds and prolific fetishization of the trigger. She then decided to start streaming traditional ASMR in late 2021 and became a full-time traditional ASMR content creator in late 2022. She created The ASMR Streamer Awards for many reasons listed throughout the site, but largely to give back to the ASMR community, recognize all the traditional ASMR streamers, bring the community even closer together, and raise money for charities she cares about.

2023 - Crisis Text Line
Crisis Text Line is free, 24/7 crisis support line that is entirely by text message. SquishShe used to volunteer as a Crisis Counselor, so this cause was very near and dear to her heart. At last year's ASMR Streamer Awards, the community raised over $2000!
When someone is in crisis, they can text HOME to 741741 to connect with a Crisis Counselor who will help them move from a hot moment to cool and calm.
The Crisis Counselors are trained volunteers who—with the support of full-time Crisis Text Line staff—use active listening, collaborative problem solving, and safety planning to help texters in their moment of crisis.
